The cost of an individual counselling session is the same regardless of the type of session you choose. Fees take into account a counsellor’s qualifications, experience and ongoing professional development and requirements, as well as the assessment, planning, clean up, and other administrative tasks associated with each appointment.

Fee Policy FAQs

When and how do I pay my counselling fee?

Counselling sessions are to be paid prior to the appointment. You will be provided an invoice with details for direct deposit.

What happens if I cannot pay, forget to pay, or do not pay in advance?

Regrettably, I will not be able to provide you with the counselling session. Sessions missed in this way are treated the same as cancellations with less than 24 hours, so you will still need to pay for the session. This is because the time has been held for you and cannot be used by another client. If I haven’t received payment before the session, I will try to contact you in advance to prevent you missing out on a session.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Please provide AT LEAST 48 hours notice if a cancellation or reschedule is required. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time will need to be paid in full, as this time has been held for you and cannot be used by another client. If you have already paid for your session, this time will still be used for you, and I will read, research, plan or undertake another relevant task at your request.

What happens if I am late to my appointment?

Your appointment time has been set aside for you, therefore if you are late the appointment will still finish at the pre-arranged time.

Do you offer any discount for sessions?

Financial hardship is treated on a case-by-case basis.

Do you accept Medicare Rebated Mental Health Care Plans?

Counsellors, regardless of qualification level or registration, are not eligible to accept Medicare plans. But the good news is that means you do NOT need a GP referral to book an appointment - just send me an email or text enquiry.
